Dutch Bros Christmas Morning

What is a Christmas Morning Dutch Bros?

From their Chai menu, “Christmas Morning” Dutch Bros is a drink. It’s a white chocolate-flavored Chai Breve beverage.

Dutch Bros employs half-and-half and white chocolate syrup in addition to an Oregon Chai tea latte base made from a combination of powdered and concentrated Oregon Chai tea.

Before the chai tea packets dissolve in water, there’s no need to add milk or cream.

The concentrate mixes with milk, white chocolate syrup, and whipped cream (if desired) to create the iced version.

You can serve the white chocolate chai breve hot or cold. With its snow-white color, it’s the perfect drink for the winter.

What is Chai?

In case you are unfamiliar with Chai tea, let us discuss what makes it unique from other types of tea.

Chai originated in China and spread gradually to India. Chai originated from Ayurveda, an age-old medicinal system with a 5000–9000 year history that uses herbs and spices to treat physical ailments.

In Hindi, the term “chai” denotes tea, without specifying a particular type of tea. Therefore, when you say “tea,” you are truly expressing “chai” in Hindi.

During their colonial days in India in the 1800s, the British introduced chai tea to the west as a medicinal brew, as it has the ability to reduce anxiety and stress.

Despite all of its health benefits, you should still drink chai tea in moderation because it contains sugar and caffeine.

Chai is made from black tea leaves soaked in milk, sugar, and cardamom. Once tasted and sweetened, it is served hot straight out of the pot. Chai tea has an earthy flavor with undertones of smoothness and honey. For a very long time, people have been drinking chai because of its delightful flavor.

However, the flavor of chai can occasionally taste like pumpkin spice or gingerbread, depending on the spices that are used.

Many folks also like the vanilla flavor of chai. Probably the cardamom, with its inherently sweet and floral taste. Furthermore, the overall sweetness of the tea is influenced by the richness of the milk in chai.

Add some ice to this breakfast drink for a cool drink!

Why this Christmas morning chai recipe is different?

I tested the recipe using both the instant powder and concentrate of Oregon chai. To dissolve the instant powder, add 8 ounces of boiling water and mix. Instead, I suggest adding ¾ cup (6 ounces) of hot water to make the chai a little stronger.

I used more chai than I did half and half because I like the spicy chai spices to be prominent in my chai latte. This made the flavor stronger and spicier. Try it out and claim it as your own!
